Richard Rodgers, President of Fluent Investments, is an investor in and adviser to growth companies and private equity firms in the healthcare sector. He has a passion for building businesses and deep experience in the challenges growing companies face including capital formation, platform scalability, organizational design, mergers and acquisitions, and leadership. He currently serves on the boards of Chesapeake Eye Care, Delphi Behavioral Health, Family Allergy and Asthma, Functional Pathways and Newport Academy.
Richard previously spent 8 years as a leader at Foundations Recovery Network, first as Chief Financial Officer and then as Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure at Foundations, the company grew shareholder value 60X across two private equity owners, ultimately selling to UHS for $350 million in 2015.
Prior to Foundations, he was a Partner and Chief Financial Officer of Clayton Associates, a Nashville healthcare venture capital firm. Prior to that, he served over five years as the Chief Financial Officer of Infrastructure Corporation of America from startup until it reached $50 million in revenue in 2005. Richard began his career with ALCOA, spending 6 years there in various positions in their corporate finance group.
Richard holds a B.S. in Corporate Finance from the University of Alabama and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is a Certified Public Accountant (license inactive).
His outside interests include contemplative meditation, distance running and Alabama football, in no particular order.
